News Letters

We produce a weekly news sheet and monthly Parish Magazine. The Parish Magazine is available in the Bell Tower and via our website.

Key news items are also shared on our website here.

Pet Service

On Sunday, 3 October, our Family Service at 4pm will take the form of a Pet Service.  Please bring along any pet you may have (in a safe way!) for them to be blessed as part of this service.  All are welcome.

Harvest Festival

We will be celebrating Harvest at all services on Sunday 3 October.  Any gifts of tinned or long-life food brought for Harvest will be donated to St Matthew’s Foodbank.  The demand for the Foodbank is still extremely high, yet we have seen a dramatic drop in donations.  Please give whatever you can for this worthy cause to the 8.00am, 10.00am and 4.00pm services on that day.

Worship Update

We have reviewed our current ‘rules’ in Church.  We have opened up all the pews and we simply ask individuals to be mindful of those around them and respect anyone who wishes to be distanced from others.  Face coverings are at the individual’s discretion, and the congregation may sing, if they wish, without masks, but if you are close to others you might consider wearing a mask as a courtesy to them..

Church Gardens

We are planning working parties to get the garden areas cleared of weeds. Gardening skills are not required as some parts just need tidying. If you can spare even an hour, we could make the gardens, car park and War Memorial looking as they should – well cared-for. Saturdays 31 July and 14 August are the dates (with more to follow if necessary) starting at 9.00am until 12 noon. Refreshments will be provided.
